can taking norethindrone cause constipation in a breastfeeding baby
rnmarin; You should not be breastfeeding if you are on this medication, they do not have any real research on what could happen, It is passed along through the milk and they do know that it is not any good for infants. So I would ask your OB/GYN but my opinion is that you should have the baby on formula. Good Luck
I know this question was posted in 2009 but I believe that Jolivette/Micronor is the recomended birth control while breastfeeding - it doesn't have as much of a decreasing effect on breast milk supply. While a birthcontrol pill isn't really needed, MOST people aren't ovulating while breastfeeding although it is not unheard of.
