Though you should follow your doctor's prescription and even talk to your doctor about the need for more pain relief, I have to honestly tell you that many years ago I was given the option of taking two at a time and I did.
Now I take two in the morning and two at night. And I'm over 250lbs myself. Restrictions placed on the prescriptions by the DEA have limited us to only 4 a day. So how you take it depends on how often you take it.
Talk to your doctor about the feasibility of two in the morning and two at night only.
