I was wondering if a MMA (mixed martial art) fighter can compete if they have a non-active Hepatitis C, both anti-body and RA? Is it still transmittable from blood to blood contact? Will it still show up in test results if it is non-active?
My liver specialist told me that my tests showed my viral count was ZERO, and that the HepC test was negative. That happened after only a month on the new treatment using "Sovaldi 400mg 1xday (am) with Ribavirin 200mg capsules 2xday. I started at 800 mg daily of Ribavirin, and am now at 1000 mg. daily (600mg AM and 400mg PM) I hoope this helps, I see you posted a year ago, I hope you have a good doctor and are already cured. RA is the Rheumatoid Factor and can be elevated in untreated chronic Hep C. I have had a positive RA also, I am waiting for blood test results as I write, to see what the RA status is.
