Until the last few month's I had taken ciprofloxicin for all my recurring UTI's. But now that very good drug is no longer effective. That is when the urological staff at the VAMC prescribed nitrofurantoin once a day. I'm concerned because daily use, with no end of usage in site, may over time also become ineffective.
