Question needed to include that the question is referring to the drug Pristiq.
If you have symptoms of nausea, heartburn or indigestion, in my experience, you may still have uncomfortable nights if you don't take something to relieve gas symptoms even on an empty stomach. I am no doctor but if your indigestion has been going on over 2 weeks, you may want to see your physician.
Because my gas symptoms did not go away after nine months (after taking endless amounts of Tums, Maalox, probiotics, Prilosec, bland diets), my primary care physician referred me to a gastrointestinal specialist. An endoscopy (exam of the stomach) was performed in November, 2017 which revealed erosion of the stomach lining. I was prescribed Pantoprazole 40mg (Protonix with six refills) once daily and Ranitidine (Zantac) 150 mgs at bedtime. I am feeling a little better after a month of taking these two drugs. I stay away from spicy and fried foods, darn it. Those were my trigger foods which give me heartburn.
If you have access to Facebook, there are some good indigestion and heartburn groups which I have joined. Folks of all ages deal with these issues.
Best of luck to you and your family this coming year. Hope you feel better soon.
