I’m on birth control tablets but I don’t take them at the same time everyday. Will I still get pregnant?
Hi, the risk of pregnancy depends on where you are in your cycle, without birth control you are only fertile for a few days each month although sex up to 7 days before ovulation can result in pregnancy. With hormonal birth control taken properly you should not ovulate at all. A lot of your question would depend on the type/brand of hormonal birth control you are taking. Low dose pills require regular same time of the day pill taking to be effective while higher dose tablets give you some flexibility. If you have trouble taking them at a regular time, you should pick a time where you will take them at 24 hour intervals or find an alternative form of birth control.
