My acid reflux came back terribly so my GP told me to take 2 Nexium twice per day I gave been doing thus for one month with no relief , I have now been scheduled for an endoscopy could thus still be gerd or something more sinister!
I had the same problem with omeprazole the doctor put me on 40 mg twice a day and it did nothing for me I had to keep switching medications and tell my body finally excepted famotidine and I am more than certain it is just acid reflux or Gerd but in the meantime until you find out which one works for you don't be afraid to use liquid ant acid or Tums. I hope you find relief
I've been on Nexium for quite a few years now after trying other meds. I did recently reduce my dosage from 40mg 2x day to 40mg 1x day and it is working okay but I do supplement it some days with Zantac (doctor prescribed). The Zantac seems to work well and I normally use it in the evening, several hours after I eat if needed. You need to see your doctor if your current med and dosage is not working for you. Hope you get better soon.
