My doctor just prescribed me .25 mg of Xanax 3 times a day. I like them and want to know how to get him to write me a second script on my next appointment. I don't abuse drugs the script he gave me was only for 30 pills
Depending on what you were prescribed the xanax for.
As these type of meds can be addictive and habit forming some docs dont like prescribing benzo's for long term, they recommend you try another anti anxiety med aswel as the xanax and give you the xanax as short term med for relief until the other med kicks in,which usually takes up to 4 weeks.
In saying that some people need xanax on a daily basis in order to funtion properly in their day to day lives. Again depending on your situation and what you were prescribed them for, your doc will decide wheather you need to be on them long term.
Be honest and open with your doctor about how you feel, honesty is the best way to go.
Best of luck to you.
You list abuse in your question, & xnax is quite addictive. If you are taking them for previous addiction, & have an addiction problem, I would rather doubt he will prescribe more than what you are taking. Please be creful & take it because you NEED it not because you like them. That shows you are on the road to addiction with xanax...
