I hope someone can inform me if theres a stronger benzo than Xanax. I have ben on a high dose for sometime and it is no longer helping.I suffer from panic and anxiety.I feel I an immune because of mtu my tolerance.this medicine stopped my agoraphobia and I am now registered to go back to college.Thank-You, please help me!
I hope you are seeing a psychiatrist for your anxiety and agoraphobia problems. Xanax is not the first medication of choice when dealing with issues such as yours. I believe a psychiatrist would at least put you on Klonopin, it lasts a lot longer than Xanax. And there may be other meds available to use regarding your problem. If nothing else, schools have mental health professionals available for you to see. See a psychiatrist, please. That's where I believe you will receive the most help.
Welcome aboard. We love to have new comers, and I'm glad you wrote in.I agree with all the other answer's. I just wanted to add that I took Tranzene, which in my opinion, is stronger, for a while when I was going through some rough waves, and needed something stronger than Klonopin. Everyone is different, but the Tranzene sure did seem stronger to me. Good luck to you, and best wishes. Hope you stay on the site. Ruthie
Hi angelalf... I too am new to the site. When I read your post I did a double-take. I am experiencing the same thing. Been on xanax over 20 years and it is no longer working. This happens you know. We do develop a tolerence and suffer withdrawal sympthoms even though we still take the perscribed dose. My psychiatrist is slowing taking me off xanax. I take Zoloft and he has added Tegrital to help as a mood stableizer.
Xanax helped, yes, but there comes a time when it can backfire. Talk to a Psychiatrist about your concerns. Best of luck. ( KK )
