my aunt was tellin me there was a new drug that is not a opiat for pain . she could not remember the name she thought it started with a b . has anyone heard of this ?
There are many new drugs. One of them is called Etodolac (Ultradol). Etodolac is used to relieve pain from various conditions. It also reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness from arthritis. This medication is known as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). I'm not sure of anything new that starts with a B. Maybe someone else will find it. Sorry I couldn't answer your question. Hope this helps though. Good luck!
Suboxone is also known as bupenorphine and I have a hard time figuring out if they consider it a true opiate. It is a medication that technically is an opiate, however, you do NOT test positive for opiates on a drug test if you are on suboxone. It sometimes is used for pain, but, usually is used to get someone off opiates. It has a blocker in it that will block other opiates. Maybe you could ask your Aunt if the name of the medication was Bupenorphine. If it is, there is plently of info on this site for suboxone/buphenorphine.
