I have been on tramadol for 2 1/2 years. I take 3x 50mg a day. I recently got a refill and the amount was 60 pills not 50 pills as my last refills. And also there was no directions for refill on the bottle. Can you tell me if there are new laws in Illinois for the drug?
I also live in Illinois, my refills have gone from 2 50mg 3x day (180 pills), took that for many years, then all of a sudden I was told I could only take it every 6 hours, so next refill was for 120 pills, just got a new refill, 90 pills. Just the thought of getting a refill was making me so anxious I decided to try and get off this stuff, been tapering, I'm down to 1 50 mg. Pill a day, having some withdrawal issues but I want this to end. I am not aware of new laws in Illinois, I think it's all the attention to opioids in general
Ma,y states changed laws on July 1st. And the government is leaning on the doctors hard. You can Google new opioid laws for Illinois and they will pop up for you to read.
Also, be prepared that on Jan. 1st, 2019 Medicare will no longer pay for narcotic pain meds unless it's for cancer, palliative care or hospice.
