- celexa, lamictal, prozac, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder
I've been suffering from severe anxiety and semi-severe depression for almost three years. I used to have extreme OCD from the time I was 9-18. I've taken everything from celexa, to prozac, to citalopram to wellbutrin which im on now. I've noticed a small change but am still very anxious and even worse have awful mood swings now. The only time I feel "ok" is when I'm at work and have to do my role as a professional. My doctor suggested I take lamictal to stabilize my moods. I don't suffer from bipolar disorder (or at least they say I dont) but am curious as to how this drug affected you all.
As a veteran of anxiety myself, I am curious also, is there ongoing progressive counseling happening for you? Have you delved into any of the many nutritional angles that help combat depression? After all the meds you stated, wondering if maybe meds aren't the answer, or, aren't the only answer.
We tried everything under the sun for the past three years and we finally hit on the fix - Lamictal! I take a low dose of Effexor but the lamictal makes me feel like myself. Anxiety and depression are gone. Counseling has helped me too, I recommend it.
