... I was told by day 7 I should be ready to quit smoking. Does that make sense? Thank you for any advice
No, I'm doing that now. It took me about 2 weeks before I noticed any effect, but then it was quite easy to avoid smoking. I decided ok, this is it, and I haven't had a cigarette since 2 days before Christmas, I even was at my neighbors and she was smoking and offered me a cigarette, and I refused it.
So hang in their. I smoked for 50 years.
When taking zyban you're allowed to smoke 2 weeks before your quit date unless of course you want to quit sooner. During the 2 weeks the cigs should start tasting bad, also prepare yourself once you put down the cigs for good such as introduce something else in place of cigs as well try to walk everyday and drink plenty of water and juices.
