... has recently become acute, where I can barely walk or stand for more than a few minutes. I am becoming quite depressed that my quality of life has been so diminished. As I am reading more about this condition I am finding that many sites say that surgery is a real option. I go to physio now and am getting IMS treatment, has anyone else had any experience with this procedure, and did it help? thanks for listening
Welcome to the group! I have been experiencing exhuriating pain down my left hip into my left leg. There are days that I may not have any pain for 2 or 3 days and then it hits with a vengeance. I have had a mylegram done in my upper and lower back. I have severe impingement on both sides. My nuerosurgeon wants to do surgery but I do not want to go that route. He stated that I will schedule the surgery when I no longer can tolerate the pain. There are times that I can not walk very far without being in horrible pain. I just keep going until the pain over rides my better judgement.
I honestly don't think surgery is a good way to go because honestly u will still be dealing with the pain and down even more physio didn't help me much u should ask ur doctor about some type of depression medicine to with the depression and the pain and as well pain management there are alot of different meds and treatments to help cope with the pain and stabilize ur mood so don't be afraid to ask ur doctor because some sites can be a little sketchy just remember something work different on other and everyone doesn't have the same side effects because I hurt 24/7 but my medications help me deal with living in pain
