... I took my first does last night before bed, big mistake. It kept me up and I had racing thoughts and palpitations. Im also taking ativan while I wait for thr zoloft to kick in. I was taking xanax, but the ativan works better. Anyway, my question is does anyone experience memory loss, or better yet, forgetfulness. I was literally in the middle of a conversation (well trying to have a convo as I now have also gained a studder) and I literaly forgot what I wanted to say! I forget the names of things too, yesterday I wanted to ask my daughter if she used bleach to clean the bathroom, but I forgot the word "bleach". Anyone else have this happen?
This is called anomia, and can happen for many reasons. I had it when I was on lyrica. I could describe what I wanted to say but could not come up with the word. It was frustrating as heck. It got to the point my bf was supplying the words, lolol. Try your zoloft in the am, and at first it will seem to have the opposite effect. If you stick with it, when your body gets used to it, these things will go away.
So I've been taking the Zoloft for a week and keeping a journal of the symptoms, not too bad. I took 25mg for the first week, but today I started 50mg. I hear when the dosage is increased it can cause some of the side effects to increase also, we'll see. Now that it's in my system for a week, I don't have as much forgetfulness (which I really think was caused by the Ativan) and I'm not taking as much Ativan either. I've had one panic attack while on the Zoloft, but have been even keel for the past few days.
