I was prescribed 300mg of neurotin to help me sleep. It had however the opposite effect! It kept me awake and energized for hours! Now I take it in the morning before starting my day. How long can one be on neurotin?
I have heard of this but usually it is prescribed for another underlying condition that has to do with nerve pain or restless leg syndrome as it quietes the nerves for you to sleep.
Do you have any kind of nerve pain ?
And usually I noticed with me that the medicine they day will put you to sleep work the opposite with me also. But if it is not working you need to call your dr. for something else.
One more thing I dont believe there is a certain time limit you can be on this as I have been on this med for 16 yrs.
If this is a new medicine it does take 1-2 weeks to start working correctly in your body.
Good luck & I hope there is something u can take to get you some sleep. Kathy
