I was told by my pain mgmt dr that I have neuropathy on my left side only. Is this possible?
My name is Liz. I have had 3 back surgeries and have chronic pain. I only have sciatica and neuropathy on my left side. Left buttock, back of thigh, calf, foot and toes. Depends on which way your disc herniated and which nerves were involved.
As a nurse i know that your brain is divided into (r) & ( l) hemispheres. If you have damage to say the (R) side, you will show neurological deficits of the (L) side of you body.. .
I've been dealing with peripheral Nueropathy now for 10 years. I got Guillian Barre syndrome 10 years ago. Unfortunately I have the residual side affects from it. Which left me with severe peripheral Nueropathy all over my body. My understanding it can affect just one part of your body or the whole body... Good much with its . It sure isn't easy
