I developed neuropathy within weeks of having kidney removed with cancer... this... was 11 years ago... The good news, the pain starts to subside after all the nerve endings die, this took nine years of horrible suffering ... The only relief came from a low dose of Percocet when needed, usually once a night... I now need 1/2 a pill about once a week... All other treatment did not work for me... I now have feet that feel like they are asleep, but very little pain... Anyone else experiences similar?
How I wish that were true for me! I can't take the usual meds for PN either, and pain meds don't sit well with me. My only relief is a hot bath. The numbness doesn't bother me so much, but the pain is horrible, especially with weather changes. I'm happy that your pain resolved. If it is possible to improve in time, I will anxiously await the day that the pain ends. Best wishes to you.
I was in two comas. Its been 13 years for me with full body neuropathy except when I was paralyzed from the waist down for the beginning years.
Glad to know its stopped for someone. I always describe my neuropathy as like "splattering bacon grease on you but all over my body". Was yours that excruciating? And did it just end one day?
Thanks for the hope.
