... first 600 MG tablet at bedtime, as prescribed, and I am just now 36 hours later becoming fully able to function. Is THIS normal ???
I too started with Neurontin and found I couldn't find my way home. I had to use the cane due to the instability it caused and was confused and continually lost my train of thought. Some people on the list swear by this drug. Talk to your Doc about trying Lyrica. You probably won't get confused but it carries some of the same side effects to a lesser extent. I have no trouble driving with it. Good luck! We have few options.
My doctor prescribes it to me in 100 mg capsules so I can spread it out throughout the day. I take 1 pill 3 times a day during the day and 2 pills at night. I can feel very sedated on it and 200mg is enough to put me to sleep. I started it 9 months ago and still feel that effect.
