I have a very severe form of RLS and have used ReQuip, rotigotine patches (NeuPro), Horizant, gabapentin, etc. We're now trying amantadine... I can't say that it's working, but would love some suggestions or feedback from other sufferers. I'm going to try CBD oil very soon on the recommendation of my physical therapist. The RLS is really affecting the quality of my life and I am anxious to get some real relief .
My neurologist has prescribed Amantadine for my severe RLS... we've tried other things to no avail?

Hi Drucilla 65,
I can relate to what you are going through. I developed mine in November 2010. I have mine all the time in my legs and it goes up the right side. Heat seems to help mine as I can't let my legs get cold. They are treating me for restless legs. I developed after a bout with an allergic reaction to medicine but my orginal neurologist said that anxiety caused it as I was in the hospital with pneumonia and I unconsciously developed anxiety and PTSD. Once the tingling started I couldn't deal so I developed panic attacks and depression. So then I sought help to deal. All of my doctors thought it would go away but it never has. I have tried all of the medicine you have except the one you are trying now. I am currently on Lyrica. I have tried getting off but then I have withdrawal symptoms. I am not sure it helps as some days are better than others. The warm weather does seem to help it immensely. My next step is going to see if I qualify for medical marijuana as my neuorologist thinks it will help. I hope you get some relief. I can't stand it and don't understand why nothing helps. I am a healthy and strong person but once this developed my life took a turn for the worse. Thank God for my psychiatrist!
