It sounds as though you may be developing a complication of diabetes called peripheral neuropathy.
You need to see your doctor.
Get your sugars under control and see the doc right away. You don't want permanent damage which may lead to amputations. Very serious.
I don;t want to be a scare-monger, but... I'm diabetic and have developed neuropathy. I have very little tactile feeling from my calf down and nearly lost my foot to infection and charcot foot. Please please please see your doc, and get your feet checked regularly so you can avoid nasty diabetic issues.
