I've been using Neo Synephrine nasal spray for many years when I have a cold. In the past I've ony ever used it for a few days. This time my cold and nasal congestion has lasted longer than usual and I've been trying not to use it but find I need it to sleep. How do I know if I'm damaging my nasal passages? I don't want to become dependent on it. At the moment it's a very quick half squirt in each nostril at bedtime, so less than the normal dose.

- neo-synephrine, neo-synephrine nasal, nasal congestion, congestion
The more you use it the more you're going to need it. They create a rebound effect. Try using just a saline spray, like ocean nasal spray. You can be perpetuating your congestion by using the neo synephrine. I've been saying this, but not 15 min ago they did a thing on it on the doctors, lol. The cortisone sprays that they have just made otc, can also cause this. They also thin the lining of your nose.
