husband just died from klonopin OD and I'm left with 2 small children and an out of control opiate addiction, on opana er 40 twice a day and 10 mg opana five times a day,. Any suggestions? Should I talk to dr? Worried about getting kicked off PM, please help!!!
go to youtube, com and look at2 posters, first look up maple2609 about how suboxone saved his life, then go to look up SuboxDoc and watch his great video( 2 part) on how suboxone works in the brain. Go to suboxone.com and look forthe dr locator service, call the drs listed in your area and ask about induction fees and office visits. It is an expensive program to most, but can help you get over your addiction to the opiates. You will have to briefly go into withdrawal for 24 hours when you start subs. This infor is only if you are trying to quit opiates. If you have a true reason for staying on the pain killers, discuss with pm if you should try switching to a longer acting opiate,ms contin and fentanyl patches are in this catergory. Ihope thishelps,I am tired and don't feel well, and am not sure if you are trying to kick opiates or get better pain management.
I am so sorry about your husband I take Opana extended release 40mg every 8 hours, last winter I caught a fall after an Ice storm fractured several vertebraes amd messed a disc up in neck/back. I am on opiates for chronic pain related to Polio, once I caught the fall the medicine I was on didn't work and I was switched to Opana the pain was so severe I was prescribed 3 (40mg) tablets every 8 hours, NOW I am down to 1- (40mg) tablet every 8 hours I want to continue to drop more if I can and tolerate the pain. You need to be VERY CAUTIOUS about Opana it can slow you respirations down and lead to very serious problems, Your Children need you, Patti gave you some good advice, I wish you the very best, Please be very careful
