I have been taking a Adderall XR 30mg in the morning and 2 15 mg regular Adderalls in the afternoon around 4 but it doesn't keep me awake anymore and my Dr. is afraid to up my dose, what type of doctor should I see for help with this?
How about switching ur meds. Ask ur PCP (primary care provider); doctor, to switch u to Desoxyn: Methamphetamine. Perhaps a small amount of Provigil or Nuvigil for xtra measure. I'm sorry to hear of ur condition... I believe Desoxyn will work. Keep in mind, ppl who take full dopamine agonists such as the meds u take, of course builds tolerance (and that may be NO fault of ur own... even when taken therapeutically). However, ppl who take these CII stimulants i.e. Adderall, Dextrostat, Dexedrine, etc. don't just build a tolerance if taken for a long time... BUT your LIVER actually learns to break down the meds faster, thus ur claim- "doesn't keep me awake anymore." I hope ur doctor takes u off Adderall and replaces it w/ Desoxyn or Methamphetamine.
