I seem to have overdone it at the gym and not wanting to halt my routine I want to be back to fitness asap, my upper arms, shoulders and fore arms aswell as hamstrings are in agony, to the point where its hurting to walk and I cant lift my arms above shoulder height!? Has anyone taken naproxen for this type of discomfort? Im a 26year old male if that helps!! Thanks
yes! Naproxen can work quite well for occasional overuse. I actually prefer it over acetaminophen or ibuprofen. If you are healthy and on no other medications, then just follow the directions on the label. Be sure to ALWAYS take this medicine with food! It can be quite hard on the stomach if taken on an empty stomach. It can lead to erosion of the stomach lining and bleeding but as long as you have food in the stomach when you take it, you should be fine. If you have a tendency for stomach ulcers though, you are better off using acetaminophen (or paracetimol). If you are on any other medications, consult your Dr or pharmacist before using as it can interact with some other medicines.
