Does the doctor know you have asthma?
Generally non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Naproxen are used with caution in asthmatics. This is because they have the potential to worsen asthma symptoms and in severe cases can be life threatening.

Not everyone is affected. If you are unsure speak to your doctor again for reassurance or ask for a safer alternative eg. acetominophen.
