He has hip pain from playing too hard. Would it be OK to give him 250Mg? Once a day? Twice a day?
I suggest you run it by the Vet first.
No. Naproxen has been shown to be more toxic with dogs as with other older NSAIDS. I'd call your vet to get something better like meloxicam.
Give him one aspirin. That I know you can give a dog. I give my old dog aspirin for his arthritis. He gets a baby aspirin and he's 13 pounds. Be careful not to use aspirin that has tylenol in it, since tylenol will make them very sick. Check with your vet tomorrow and see if naproxen is ok. You may find aspirin is enough.
Actually our old dog used to do that too. Turns out he had hip dysphasia and needed to be on aspirin daily. The dosing is specific so be sure your pet is seen by a vet. I took as good of care of the pet as the rest of us. Hope it goes well.
