Can you suggest any other treatment besides taking imflammorty and pain medicines
My best relief is from ice packs that I bought on Amazon. They are professional grade and very large. There are various companies, but the one I am sitting on right now is from H T G and is called fire and ice because it is a cold/hot pack. There are no side effects to worry about from ice!!! I also use bio freeze. It is topical but can help some if applied several times daily. Also keep a pain diary and get some meditation music or sessions off you tube and do belly deep breathing. Relaxation really helps your muscles if you can do it
Lidocaine ointment helps with my sciatica. My doctor prescribes it for me. It is now available OTC. Aspercreme is one of the brands that has lidocaine. I believe they have it as a cream and and as a patch.
It works by numbing the area and can be used 4 times a day.
I have that same condition, I tried physio, massages, etc. They help for awhile. I found that taking the orange peels, rub them with your fingers until they become oily, and then rubbing the orange peels on your lower back and down your leg beats all the creams, plus saves you a lot of money. I use this method several times a day when I get the pain. You'll need a few oranges everytime but for me it really works. I started using oranges anywhere I get sore.
