I saw a doctor yesterday, I had to wait an hour, and was in and out of the doctors office so fast, he helped me with all my problems but one. I have a small bump in my anus, and he said it was a small hemeriod. But it does hurt a bit. What should I do, I would like another person's answer please and Thank you.
They have hemorrhoid cremes and preparations. I think that almost everyone in the world has them. You get them from being constipated, most women get them during pregnancy. Go to a urologist or proctologist for a second opinion.
If the specialist says it's a hemorrhoid-you can relax about it.
A small hemorrhoid, if it doesnt cause problems, is not a big deal. many people have them. You will want to increase your fiber intake or use something like Benefiber and drink lot of water to keep your stools soft so that you dont strain when having a bowel movement because straining and hard stools can aggravate hemorrhoids and make them larger. If it becomes inflammed, you can use something like Preparation H to soothe it and taking sitz baths can help-you can buy a special little sitz bath or you can do it by sitting in the bath tub with warm water to cover your hips and just kind of keep the water flowing-you can do this at least daily or more often. It also helps to use "wet wipes" instead of toilet paper. If it gets larger, their are Drs who do "laser" type treatment to shrink the tissue or at some point surgery can be done. Hopefully with a little care you wont get to that point.
