My husband saw his regular MD today but was told this was a level three prescription. Not sure what that means. Anyway he didn't get it. I'm very disappointed. Anyone know what we can do?
Texas wife; The doctor should have referred you husband to a clinic that helps with drug abuse or alcohol. But sounds like a jerk few way you can try google your area with zip code for Doctor or clinic that works with abuse, OR call one of the hospitals in the area and ask them for a doctor that works for alcohol abuse patients. then there is one other way I can think of there is a search bar on the top of this page type in naltrexone then read so of the thing on a few page it is like coupons patient assistance anyway find out the company that makes it and call them and say your having trouble finding a doctor in your area that well help you and prescribe naltrexone if you still have the problem let me know and I will see if I can find it but it should have their phone on one of the many sights that are listed. By the way that doctor that said its a level 3 prescription all medication have a level to none 1 is the strongest illegal medication 2 is strongest in a pharmacy 3,4,5, it should not have been even there problem to say that if I were you I would call that office and ask the nurse what alcoholic clinic is in your area your husband was in this morning and did not do diddly. Someone like your husband that wants help damn well should get it. chuck1957
