According to research, the answer is YES. Perhaps you went into remission (which can be permanent or intermittent).
The return of MG symptoms may have been brought on by another illness or stressor in your life.

I also had a thymectomy in 1992. My symptoms have never gone completely away, but have been manageable since the surgery, then a plasmapherisis and the common treatment with Mestinon and Prednisone. Lately, I have experienced an increase in the symptoms, so yes, it is possible for the symptoms to re-appear.
You should get back to your physician right away, before they increase even more.
