... night. Now she is on Lyrica and she still has the sleepiness, but not as much. She still feels drunk and uncoordinated. Will the side effects get better? She just finished the 75mg twice daily dose and is going up to 150mg tomorrow. We're trying to decide if the medicine for fibromyalgia is worse than the cure. Thanks for any answers
To be honest, I have taken both of the following and the Lyrica was way worse for me. After three weeks of the drunkeness I started passing out and couldnt even hold a conversation without falling asleep and or passing out. Three weeks into Neurontin I had the same problems and they told me to lower my dose and it didnt work. When they put me on the Lyricca I blacked out three times and woke up one night on the ground out in my yard and I had only remembered going outside though I never really knew in the end what happened, oh and u wouldnt believe tht they had me on the highest dose possible 2700mg;
i had to do neurontin before they would allow me to get lyrica with my insurance. the doc said to fairly quickly go up on the dosage after 2-3 days. so after i was on nearly 2000 mg a day, i felt high, and all of a sudden after driving one day, i felt like i was going to just pass out like you were drunk or something and i got scared and almost panicked. then one morning around 4:30 (i get up at 4am for work), i about fell out of the shower and felt high again, such that i was afraid to drive and had to call in. this quit after i switched to lyrica, but now i have symptoms that mimic dementia, ect. i won't ever take neurontin again!
