She suffers from PMR ,polymyalgia rheumatica (muscle-rheuma)
Hi tadama; In a word , YES! The depressive effects of chloroxazone can be enhanced by taking it with alcohol , tranquilizers , sleeping pills , or other nervous system depressants , avoid them.
You say your wife suffers from PMR... so do I! Is she on Prednisone, as I am told that is the only help available for the treatment of PMR pain. I'm on it [wish I wasn't] so I know that it also has a lot of drug interactions. Does Chloroxazone help reduce the effects of PMR in any way? I feel helpless because I cannot help your wife more but there are others in this group who will most probably be contacting you with additional help and encouragement for your wife... and you ! Please offer your wife a smile and hello from "Sacosam"!
