When your son was prescribed risperdal , didn´t you look into benefits and risks with his Dr... I am not judging you at all, but I am manic depressive and also suffer from other conditions, and whenever I start a new medication, I look into everything that comes with this new drug with my prescriber and then I do research on my own with regards to the new medication (I am 42 years old and trust me,I have been on many medications).-
With all due respect, I suggest you contact his Dr. on monday, and clarify every doubt and question you may have about risperdal with him / her, it is always good to make a list so when the time comes to speak to his Dr., you do not leave anything out.-

Hi, my is 7 years old and high functioning autistic he has been on resperdal for about 2 yrs on and off. Weve tried other meds but resperdal seems to be the best so far.. he has some side effects such as incontinence, Better than the alternative witch was extremely violent. now just dealing with his adhd and he has trouble controlling himself..
