the same as the new very expensive meds. I'm getting charged the highest amount possible ($100) versus the generic rate of $10. How much do you pay for one month prescription of methotrexate?
I pay $21.39--3 months worth--for 36 2.5 mg. tabs. That is the FULL price from the pharmacy. With my insurance if the RX is less than the $10 a month they pay nothing and I cover it. Since I also receive Remicade infusions every six weeks--costing aprox $4300 each--that the insurance covers the full cost of, I am not complaining. If I were you I'd call the insurance folks and find out why you are suddenly paying so much more that you'd been paying. It might be a mistake or an computer error. If that fails, talk to your healthcare provider. Sometimes they know of programs that could help you get your meds for less or no cost. I wish you luck!
Take care and be well, Lady of Howard
