- back pain
My husbands PM dr is trying to get him to try a spinal cord stimulation called percision plus. Has?anyone used this implant and can they can let me know if it works? It kind of sounds to good to be true.
Thanks , Sweetpea
PS My husband has had to have back surgery, for a hernia in his lower back. He has a degenerative disk disease and suffers from sciatica (severe)
I was to have the exact same procedure sweetpea and I read here on this site several people saying different things one problems with the actual surgery infections etc. I remember another person saying it was helpful. That it can reduce pain levels. There are several models and depending on who his pm Dr deals with will (trust?)get the according device. My pain Levels have just blossemed since I had that radio frequency thermocoagulation at this point I would not reccommend that procedure to any one but it has only been 2 weeks since I had it. before I would get various respites during the day depending on how much physical moving I did now its constant pain. Look I know this answer is iffy but there are risks but the one person dont remember who it was, said it helped. If your Husband is ambulatory and can manage on pmeds then another surgery on top of what he had well give sufficient time. Check out the web sites of the companies that make the devices remember they want him to do the surgery and power supply will have to be changed which surgery evry time the battery runs out. A lot of extra costs are involved. Good luck and hope your husband feels better. B
