Took one Oxycodone-acetaminophen 5-325 and 2 tylenol (500 mg each) three times a day for a week or two. Has his liver been harmed?
My young friend mrspage is right to be concerned about the levels of acetaminophen your husband takes. However, if my math is correct, he takes 2,475mg per day. I know it sounds like a lot but the medical guide says not to exceed 4,000 mgs per day. I would still suggest he find an alternative to taking Tylenol along with the oxycodone. Maybe he could switch to Ibuprofen? Another suggestion might be to up the oxycodone to 10/325 which would lower the acetaminophen he currently takes. If his pain is bad enough to add an OTC medication, maybe he should consult with his doctor too.
Good luck to you and hope he feels better soon,
