What is the best for this. I'm 53 yrs old Please Help.
I find if you soak your feet in warm water for 15 to 20 minutes just before you get into bed, then pat dry and the put your petroleum jelly on your feet and heels in a thick layer. Then put a pair of socks on gently so you don't wipe most of the jelly off and keep the socks on over night, then in the morning you will find your feet will be softer and help heal those cracks quicker. I find once a month helps to maintain the softness.
I am about your age I stay with my mom since my Dad passed she has the same problems she is 93 y/o she gets sheet burn (from rubbing the heels against the sheet when she moves about at night I try Eucerin and combine it with Bactroban an Rx cream and ointment she was given a moisture cream at wound care called Once a day moisturising body cream made by coloplast I am not sure if it can be purchased it may be a sample but it's got a lot going for it I hope I have been of a little help best wishes
I had the same problem so I went to the foot doctor. First try a product called Domeboro. Soak feet in that for 20 min. you'll see all the dead skin melt away it's amazing. Then buff anyway you like. Then apply AmLactin. Both products are OTC anywhere. I'm telling you my feet look 20 years younger.
