My granddaughter's doctor just prescribed FOCALIN XR to her but she is only 3,is this safe?

"FOCALIN XR should not be used in children less than 6 years old because it has not been studied in this age group." This quote is taken direct from this link on the FDA website.

however... I have read other places it is safe for children ages 3 and up. I have seen more information saying the focalin (non-XR) is safe. I guess it would be up to your family to trust your doctor and see how it works for her.
