One thing you need to remember with this medication and all others is that the side effects listed are actually "known possible side effects"; there's no guarantee that you may experience any one of them. Yes, Cymbalta can cause drowsiness, but it also causes some people to have insomnia. Take it as your doctor has directed and if you think the time at which you take it should be changed, then talk with your doctor. Since you said you were just starting on Cymbalta, I wanted to let you know that it can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks before you notice any improvement, so give the medication some time to work.
