Can I pick up those refills even if I was written a new script with different instructions? Will this cause me to get in trouble getting 2 of the same drugs at different pharmacies?
It could if you are getting both at the same time. You need to decide to either tap out your refills but if you are taking the increased dose you will run out early or you should just go with the new script. The refills will be available for a certain amount of time and if you get to a time when your new refills run out you will have those at your disposal. you definitely do not want to get one fill at one pharmacy and another fill during the same time at another. the Dr can dismiss you for this. It is as much a no-no as Dr shopping.
