My daughter is very depressed, she says she is not happy anymore and it's breaking my heart. I'm afraid that she will end up right back where she started (taking Xanax) or something worse. She has asked for help around this area. Are there any hot line numbers she can call so she can talk to someone or possibly get some help? Please help her.
If your daughter is taking xanax too much or too often, she will become even more depressed. She also runs the risk of seizures if she stops abruptly. There is a Xanax support on this site (Drugs.com). Have her check out the posts there and if she signs in, she could ask questions and get the help she needs. Of course the best thing she could do would be to see a doctor or Psychiatrist. Hang in there mom--just be supportive but also keep an eye on her. Good luck and let us know what she decides. Julie
