I know that it has been used in persons with Down Syndrome as sorme sort of Intellegence booster.
Piracetam is a nootropic. It is a drug that may: enhance cognition and memory, slow brain aging, increase blood flow and oxygen to the brain, aid stroke recovery, and ameliorate Alzheimer's, Down's syndrome, dementia, and dyslexia, among other diseases and conditions. Some countries consider it a supplement rather than drug.
From researching the internet I could find little information to support its effectiveness.
