... few days. We are in our 70's and are afraid we will get thrush from them. Is this possible?
Thrush is generally not contagious. You will be okay to let them visit. Thrush is common in pregnancy due to changes in hormones allowing the Candida (yeast infection) grow. It is often transferred to infants as they pass through the birth canal. If you are healthy and are not immunosupressed you should be fine. Thrush is an overgrowth of a fungal or yeast infection. In most healthy folks, they have a balance of good bacteria that doesnt allow the fungus to overgrow. Some medications and health conditions change that balance which leads to the overgrowth of the fungus. This site doesnt have any info on thrush but here is a link to some info on thrush.
