I just came back from the funeral this weekend. She was beautiful and smart. Her parents and friends tried to help. They sent her to rehab after she got in a car accident from nodding out at the wheel in November. She got out last Tuesday, texted every dealer on the ride home, went out for 30 minutes, came home & shot up in her room. Her mother found her slumped over next to her bed with a needle in her arm. I know this is not a question but I just wanted to share.. you never think it'll happen to your own family. That could've easily been me or anyone here, and I just wanted to thank you guys. This website was my only support. Anyway.. another too-young life lost to this addiction. An epidemic is more like it. Starts with pills and ends with dope, death or prison.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved cousin. So sad
Heroin is indeed an epidemic in this country. People in their teens are now getting addicted because it is so inexpensive it would seem.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Kate I just want you to know how very sorry that I am about, she was a very special person, loved by you all there are not enough words in this world to adequately express the sadness we all feel for you. We are always here and if you need anyone to just listen now we are still here amd prepared to do so, again you have my very very deepest sympathy (Billy)
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We share in your sorrow and I will be praying for you and your family. What you and many have had to experience is truly a tragedy. God bless you and yours,
Kate, I am so very sorry to hear this. How terrible! She was so young. I have daughter's her age. You are such a kind and caring person and my sympothy goes out to you and your family. You are all in my prayers.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my 22yr old nephew(more like the little brother I always wanted) Nov. 13th 2009 (friday the 13th) from mixing the wrong dosages of meds given to him to get off heroin. He left behind two beautiful little girls(1yr and 2yrs).This is a devistating drug... for the user and everyone that loves them.Another senseless death leaving so many behind to wonder how did this happen to someone who was so loved and loved so many? My family posted a facebook page right after he passed dedicated to him and still over two years later his friends and loved ones still write to him... Weather it's to say Happy Bday, xmas or just... Hey still thinking about you.Maybe you can do the same... I know it makes me feel good just to read what others write(kinda like he's still here with us).Again... So sorry for your loss... I'm sure your cousin will be missed by so many... Just as my Jeffy is.
