... take this isoniazid. i am considering not giving this to my baby..am i right
Treatment of Tuberculosis, the usual Oral Dosage (depending on the regimen used) for Isoniazid:
Adults: 5 mg/kg up to 300 mg daily in a single dose; or 15 mg/kg up to 900 mg/day, two or three times/week
Children: 10-15 mg/kg up to 300 mg daily in a single dose; or 20-40 mg/kg up to 900 mg/day, two or three times/week
Since the doc must have prescribed the med. he/she would have known the age of the infant, would it be possible for you to seek a second opinion? If yes, please do that to be on the safer side, but please do consult a doc before you stop or take/give the med.
