Very bad Muscle tightness, using baclofen at the moment 3 per day, how long does it take for the tablets to kick in. I have MS
Mullen1959; Don't give up, I know of many MS patients that this has really helped a lot what I would like you to do is call your doctor on Monday and see what he or she says sometimes they have to add something and other times they may adjust the dose. It has only been 4 days but some people that are plenty of time and others it takes longer I wish I had better news for you but I have seen this taken all over the map so please call your doctor asap. best of luck you well get relief soon
I've been where you are. I took Baclofen for a year in the hopes that it would eventually work for the muscle tightness and leg pain. A year ago my neurologist prescribed Cymbalta. She said that even though Cymbalta is prescribed for depression, a wonderful side affect is muscle relaxation. A month in, I was walking with a more normal gait and was controlling the pain with over-the-counter meds rather that pain meds. We've increased the dosage from 30 to 60 mg and I now rarely take pain meds. This medication, along with diet and exercise on a recumbent bike has changed my life. I can't say whether or not it would work for you, but it might be worth talking to your neurologist. I wish you luck in finding your miracle.
Thank you I have been talking to my MS nurse and now feel better with a little bit of knowledge,
Hi I've dealt with the leg stiffness and the spasms. I had been on the Baclofen orally but wasn't working. I now have a Baclofen Pump implanted in my belly that goes to the spine. The med gets there faster and stronger than the pill. Good luck
