... mayo clinic. I have muscle spams under my left scapula .pain goes into my neck down my arm some down my back. I'm not on heavy narcotics. Every 3 months I get botulism injections. But they wear off fast. I had a botched neck surgery but has been corrected.I had snapping scapula syndrome with a bone spur hook catching my muscles an etc when I moved my left arm. Supposley it has been fixed with surgery. I'm taking Valium, seriquil, melinton to help me sleep. Still in a lot of pain . 34 an feel hopeless. I have been told to see a neurophysiology. Based on what you say, the hopelessness is the target and I would have you pursue that and that alone, covering everything from counseling, group participation, reevaluation of habits, hobbies and overall lifestyle, values, a huge one is volunteering to hep others worse off than we are (children with terminal cancer, folks with heavy addictions) ethics morals self-image imaginations for the future, acknowledgement of blessings past and present (often overlooked, usually outnumber the negatives), etc. Been there, it's a root element that left unchecked can render any other "solutions" (meds especially) useless, even exacerbating the issue. Hope that makes sense.
