Having chest pain and I have angina, also having unusual muscle weakness in both legs causing me to fall.
There are soma, robaxin, tizanidine and baclofen.
Diazepam is one of the best muscle relaxants if you can get a doctor to give it. It can be very addictive so a lot of Drs are reluctant to use it. Any of the ones kaismama mentioned are good. My personal preference is for Soma. It just seems to owrk best for me. Next best would be tizanidine but it can make you very sleepy (so can Soma for that matter) Have they checked to be sure the weakness is not due to Cauda Equina syndrome in your back?
I find valium works best for me. And MD actually still will prescribe it
Valium (Diazepam) is the best. I am now on what which is better but it is not licenced out side of Europe. But I do still have Diazapam. Like DZ said most Dr (MD), don't like to prescribe it but if you can get it is the best. I also find Tizanidine also has it merits and I have this one too. It is not uncommon to have more then one muscle relaxant at your disposal - Good luck
