Why do they think you have MS?
Did you show any signs of demyelination (destruction of myelin) in your brain scans or MRI's? What were the results from your lumbar punch? There isn't a definative, 100% test for MS, but there are tests that can indicate a possibility.
If you haven't had any serious testing, ask for it before you accept that diagnoses.
I agree with Sharipdx. If you had an MRI and were diagnosed with MS based on that MRI then I would think that you have MS. And if that second doctor is a board certified Neurologist and he told you something different, then I think you should go for a third opinion. For a 2 out of 3 confirmation one way or another. What lead to your diagnosis if you don't have any symptoms?
